Keep your rear suspension composed and control body motion with the KYB Gas-a-just Suspension Strut KG9004, a high-pressure monotube gas strut offered as a rear-position, OE monotube replacement to help restore your vehicle's original capabilities. It fits the 1977-1983 BMW 320I — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details.

Two separate working chambers: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston for a comfortable ride during normal driving and added performance on demand.
Fade-free monotube: the high-pressure design separates the gas and oil, so it doesn't experience fade due to aeration and responds instantly.
Triple chrome-plated piston rod: since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure, the ultra-smooth rod is designed to reduce seal wear.
Tuned damping: adds up to 25% more damping over original-equipment shocks, with components and valving designed specifically for the BMW 3 Series.
