Smooth out the ride and tighten body control on your van with the Monroe OESpectrum Suspension Strut, MPN 72788. This is the front left strut, a direct-fit replacement for the 2014-2023 Ford Transit Connect (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment). Monroe's OESpectrum line uses application-specific valving from Tenneco to deliver handling precision and control while filtering out noise, vibration and harshness.

  • Rod Displaced Valving: tuned for the application, it adjusts to road extremes for consistent ride comfort.
  • Twin Technology: an Impact Control Valve (ICV) plus a patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.
  • Fluon Banded Piston & All-Weather Fluid: the fluon band seals consistently between piston and pressure tube for better control and durability, while the fluid's friction modifiers keep rod reaction smooth.
  • Hardened, chrome-plated piston rod with a bronze-reinforced rod guide and single-lip seal for long service life. Nitrogen gas charged on most applications.

If worn struts are behind your bouncing, nose-dive under braking, or uneven tire wear, this replaces the original. Dust boot and jounce bumper sold separately. Backed by Monroe's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What vehicle does this strut fit?

It is a direct-fit front left suspension strut for the 2014-2023 Ford Transit Connect. Check the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm engine-level fitment for your vehicle.

Which position is this strut for?

This is the front left (driver-side) strut. Order the matching side separately if you also need the front right.

Are the dust boot and jounce bumper included?

No. The dust boot and jounce bumper are sold separately, so inspect yours and replace them if worn during installation.

Is this strut nitrogen gas charged?

Monroe OESpectrum struts are nitrogen gas charged on most applications, which helps maintain tire-to-road contact by reducing fluid aeration.

What are signs my strut may need replacing?

Excessive bouncing, nose-dive under braking, poor handling, or uneven tire wear can be signs. Diagnose the cause first, since these symptoms can have other sources.
