NTK Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor P/N:EF0090
NTK EF0175 coolant temperature sensor for the 2011 Honda Civic 4-cylinder 1.3L or 2.0L, the 2011-2015 Civic 4-cylinder 1.8L, the 2012-2015 Civic 4-cylinder 2.4L, the 2012-2021 Civic 4-cylinder 1.5L and other vehicles sends an analog signal to the ECM that reports the engine coolant temperature. The ECM uses that reading to keep the air/fuel ratio right and to run the cooling fan(s) and temperature gauge.
An erratic or dead temperature gauge, erratic or no cooling fan operation, or overheating can mean the sensor is failing. These signs alone do not prove the engine coolant temperature sensor is at fault, since a low coolant level can cause overheating too.
This coolant temperature sensor is listed for a wide range of Honda and Acura models, including the 2014-2017 Honda Accord V6 3.5L, the 2018-2021 Accord 4-cylinder 1.5L, the 2016-2019 Honda CR-V 4-cylinder 2.4L and the 2017-2021 CR-V 4-cylinder 1.5L; the Civic and CR-V engines named here take one sensor each. Wires and probe length match OE. For another Honda or Acura, open the Buyer's Guide tab to check your exact model and engine.
One coolant temperature sensor, with mounting clip(s) where applicable.

This part cross-references / interchanges with the following part numbers:
Is this the ECT sensor for a 2012-2015 Honda Civic 4-cylinder 2.4L?
Yes. NTK EF0175 is listed for the 2012-2015 Honda Civic 4-cylinder 2.4L, and that Civic takes one sensor.
Does this Honda Civic temperature sensor fit the 2011-2015 Civic 4-cylinder 1.8L?
Yes. NTK EF0175 is listed for the 2011-2015 Honda Civic 4-cylinder 1.8L, one sensor per car.
Is the housing on this coolant temperature sensor brass?
Yes. The housing is brass, with thermal conductive grease inside it to increase sensor response time.
Can a failing NTK EF0175 sensor affect the temperature gauge and cooling fan?
Yes. This sensor sends the ECM its coolant temperature signal, which the ECM uses for the gauge and cooling fan, so erratic readings or fan behavior can mean it is failing. A shop can test it.
Which seal and clip come with the NTK EF0175 sensor?
Thread sealant or an o-ring is installed where applicable, and mounting clip(s) are included where applicable. This listing is one sensor.
