NTK Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor P/N:EF0155
NTK EF0079 coolant temperature sensor for the 1999-2006 Audi A4 4-cylinder 1.8L, the 2000-2001 A4 V6 2.8L, the 2004-2005 A4 V6 3.0L, the 2005-2008 A4 4-cylinder 2.0L and other vehicles measures engine coolant temperature and sends an analog signal to the ECM. The ECM uses that signal for the air/fuel ratio, the cooling fan(s) and the temperature gauge.
A failing engine coolant temperature sensor can show up as a check engine light, erratic or no gauge or fan operation, or overheating. A faulty cooling fan, a bad thermostat, wiring trouble or low coolant can be behind these signs too, so find the cause before buying a sensor. This listing is one sensor, and the 2004-2005 Audi A4 V6 3.0L takes one.
The 1999 Volkswagen Jetta 4-cylinder 1.8L, the 1999-2004 Jetta 4-cylinder 1.9L or V6 2.8L, the 1999-2005 Jetta 4-cylinder 2.0L and the 2002-2005 Jetta 4-cylinder 1.8L take this sensor, as do many other Audi, Volkswagen and SEAT models. It is also a coolant temperature sensor for the 1999-2005 VW Passat and a replacement coolant temperature sensor for the 2005-2008 Audi A4 4-cylinder 2.0L. Wire length, probe length and thermistor placement match OE. Driving something not named here? Look up your year and engine in the "Vehicles it fits" section.
