Nugeon Disc Brake Caliper P/N:99-17938A
Nugeon 99-17376A front left brake caliper for the 2008-2009 Buick LaCrosse and other vehicles clamps the pads against the rotor to slow the wheel. This remanufactured Nugeon brake caliper is a floating design.
A disc brake caliper that sticks or leaks can show up as pulling to one side under braking, one pad wearing faster than the other, or fluid near the piston boot. A seized slide or a swollen hose can give a similar pull, so have the pads, boot and hose looked over during a brake service, with the car cool, before replacing the caliper. Calipers are normally replaced as a left and right pair; this listing is one front left caliper, and the right side is a separate part.
The 2008-2009 Buick LaCrosse, the 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne and the 2006-2011 Cadillac DTS each take this caliper on the front left, and it fits more models besides. If your car is not one of these, look it up in the "Vehicles it fits" section.
Fit and size
Build and materials
One front left brake caliper with its bracket, caliper slides, dust boots, bleeder screw and crush washers. Brake pads, anti-squeal shims, wear sensors, a bleeder screw cap, bracket mounting bolts and caliper and pad hardware are not included, so plan on new mounting bolts, as the old ones may not be reusable.
Is this the right brake caliper for the 2006-2011 Cadillac DTS?
Yes. Nugeon 99-17376A is a front left caliper listed for the 2006-2011 Cadillac DTS, which takes one on that side. The right side is a separate part.
Is this a brake caliper for the 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne front left side?
Yes. The 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne takes one Nugeon 99-17376A on the front left, and the front right caliper is ordered separately.
Does the Nugeon caliper come with brake pads and mounting bolts?
No. It comes with the bracket, slides, dust boots, bleeder screw and crush washers. Pads, shims, wear sensors, bracket mounting bolts and pad hardware are not included.
What size are the pistons and bleeder thread on this caliper?
The two steel pistons are 45 mm (1.772 in) across. The bleeder screw thread is M10-1.5, and the banjo bolt inlet port is M10-1.5 x 23.14.
What does a sticking front left caliper look like in daily driving?
The car can pull toward one side when braking, the left front pad can wear faster than the right, or fluid can appear near the piston boot. A shop can confirm the cause.
