Restore tight cylinder sealing and dependable compression in your V6-4.0L with the Sealed Power Engine Piston Set (H843CP). It's a direct-fit replacement for the 1997-2001 Ford Explorer, 1998-2001 Mercury Mountaineer, and 2001 Ford Ranger — all with the V6-4.0L engine (six pistons per engine).
Premium hypereutectic piston: premium-grade hypereutectic material with a flat head.
DUROSHIELD® skirt coating: moly-graphite skirt coating that reduces friction, helps support fuel economy, and helps protect against scuffing from inadequate lubrication at start-up.
Better cylinder sealing: retains standard ring gaps in the top groove to help improve cylinder sealing for less blow-by.
Application-specific build: made with ISO/QS-certified manufacturing to help restore engine performance.
