Standard Ignition Distributor Cap P/N:JH-76
Keep high-voltage spark headed to the right cylinder at the right moment with the Standard Ignition Distributor Cap JH-134. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 1966-1967 Nissan 1600, the 1969-1973 Nissan 510 and the 1972-1973 Nissan 620 Pickup. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
The distributor cap covers the distributor and receives high-voltage current from the ignition coil at its center terminal. The spinning rotor passes that current to each outer terminal and on to the spark plug wires in firing order. Over time a cap can crack, develop carbon tracks or corrode at its terminals. When that happens, spark may leak or weaken.
Signs this part may need replacing: misfires, rough running, hard starting, visible cracks, carbon tracking lines, or corroded or burned terminals. Several of these symptoms can also come from other ignition parts, so diagnose the ignition system before you replace the cap.

What does a distributor cap do?
It covers the distributor and carries high-voltage current from the coil to the rotor. The rotor passes that current to the outer terminals and on to the spark plug wires in firing order.
Which vehicles does the Standard JH-134 fit?
It fits many vehicles, among them the 1966-1967 Nissan 1600, 1969-1973 Nissan 510 and 1972-1973 Nissan 620 Pickup. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
What are signs my distributor cap may need replacing?
Misfires, rough running, hard starting, visible cracks, carbon tracks or corroded terminals may mean the cap needs replacing. Other ignition parts can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the system first.
What is this distributor cap made of?
Standard makes its distributor caps from high dielectric strength, glass/mineral reinforced polyester resin. The material is designed to reduce carbon tracking and resist electrical breakdown.
