Standard Ignition Distributor Cap P/N:JH-162

Help route ignition voltage cleanly to every spark plug wire with the Standard Ignition JH-162, a direct-fit Nissan D21 distributor cap for the 1986-1989 model years that also fits the 1985-1988 Nissan Maxima and 1987-1989 Nissan Pathfinder. As the rotor turns beneath it, the cap carries high voltage from the ignition coil out to each plug wire terminal in firing order. A cracked or carbon-tracked cap can interfere with that spark delivery.

Signs a distributor cap may need replacing include cracks, carbon tracks or corroded terminals inside the cap, misfires, hard starting and rough running. Worn plug wires, spark plugs, the rotor or the coil can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the cause first. If the cap is at fault, the JH-162 replaces it.
