The rotor turns with the distributor shaft. It carries current from the center terminal of the distributor cap to each outer terminal, which sends it on to the spark plugs.

Signs that a rotor may need replacing include misfires, rough running, hard starting, a burned or eroded tip, and carbon tracks on the rotor. If the rotor is the cause, GB-350 replaces it. The rotor and the distributor cap work together, so inspect the cap at the same time.
