Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor P/N:JR-144
Route coil voltage to each distributor cap terminal in turn with the Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor JR-117. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 1987-1988 Nissan Pathfinder, 1986-1989 Nissan D21 and 1987-1989 Nissan Stanza. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
The rotor turns with the distributor shaft and passes high voltage from the coil across a small gap to each cap terminal, sending spark to the plugs in firing order. Signs a rotor may need replacing include misfiring, hard starting, rough running, or a tip that is burned, pitted or cracked. Those symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the ignition system first. If a worn rotor is the cause, JR-117 replaces it.

This part cross-references / interchanges with the following part numbers:
What does a distributor rotor do?
It rides on the distributor shaft and passes coil voltage across a small gap to each cap terminal in turn, sending spark to the plugs in firing order.
Which vehicles does the Standard JR-117 fit?
It fits many vehicles, among them the 1987-1988 Nissan Pathfinder, 1986-1989 Nissan D21 and 1987-1989 Nissan Stanza. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
What is the rotor segment made of?
The segment is solid brass, which resists pitting and erosion. It carries a noise-suppressing coating intended to limit interference with the radio and other electronic circuits.
What are signs a distributor rotor may need replacing?
Possible signs include misfiring, hard starting, rough running, or a burned, pitted or cracked rotor tip. These symptoms have other causes too, so diagnose the ignition system before replacing parts.
