Dorman - OE Solutions Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly P/N:520-520
Replace a worn front left lower arm in one step with this Dorman control arm with ball joint, part number 520-731, which comes with the ball joint and bushings already installed. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1991-1992 BMW 318i, the 1987-1992 BMW 325i and the 1991 BMW 318is. It is a direct replacement for the original assembly. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details and every listed application.
The lower arm connects the wheel assembly to the chassis. It lets the suspension travel up and down, and its ball joint gives the steering knuckle a pivot point. This Dorman suspension control arm is sold individually for the left side. Replacing both sides together is recommended.

Is this Dorman lower control arm listed for the 1987-1992 BMW 325i?

What comes with the Dorman suspension control arm and ball joint assembly?
The arm comes with the ball joint and bushings pre-installed, so they do not need to be pressed in separately. This listing is for one front left lower arm.
What does a lower control arm do?
It links the wheel assembly to the chassis so the suspension can move up and down while helping hold the wheel in position. The ball joint provides the pivot for steering.
What are signs this part may need replacing?
Clunking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, vibration or uneven tire wear may indicate a worn arm, ball joint or bushing. Other parts can cause these signs too, so inspect before replacing.
Is an alignment needed after installing it?
A wheel alignment check is recommended after replacing a control arm. Consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners, torque values and whether the original bolts may be reused.
