Dorman - OE Solutions Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly P/N:520-520
Help your 1999-2003 Ford Windstar's front suspension ride smoothly and track steadily with the Dorman control arm 520-254 from the OE Solutions line. It installs as a direct replacement for the original front right lower assembly on the 1999-2003 Ford Windstar. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details.
This Dorman suspension control arm and ball joint assembly arrives with its ball joint and bushings already installed, so the arm, joint and bushings are replaced as one piece.
The lower control arm links the steering knuckle to the vehicle's chassis. It lets the wheel travel up and down while holding it in position, and its ball joint serves as the pivot for the knuckle. Signs it may need replacing include clunking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear, or play in the ball joint. If a worn arm, ball joint or bushing is the cause, this assembly replaces all three at once.
This part is sold individually, and replacing both sides together is recommended. Consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners and whether they may be reused, and have the wheel alignment checked after installation.
