Standard Ignition Vapor Canister P/N:CP3317
Standard Ignition CP3200 vapor canister for the 2006-2007 Cadillac CTS V6 2.8L or V8 6.0L, the 2006-2011 CTS V6 3.6L, the 2009-2011 CTS V8 6.2L, the 2010-2011 CTS V6 3.0L and other vehicles holds fuel vapor from the tank in charcoal filter media. It is part of the evaporative emission system, which routes stored vapor to the engine instead of letting it vent.
A fuel smell or an evaporative emission warning light can mean the canister is leaking or clogged. If the canister is the cause, this one replaces it. A cracked hose or a damaged connector could be the real culprit, so look the system over with the engine off and cool before you replace anything. A shop can run the evaporative tests that need the engine running.
It is a direct-fit OE replacement with an OE-matched connector and terminals for the 2006-2007 Cadillac CTS V6 2.8L or V8 6.0L, the 2006-2011 CTS V6 3.6L, the 2009-2011 CTS V8 6.2L and the 2010-2011 CTS V6 3.0L. It also fits the 2006-2009 Cadillac STS V8 4.4L, the 2006-2010 STS V8 4.6L and the 2006-2011 STS V6 3.6L. Standard Ignition engineered it for higher-mileage GM vehicles.
