Standard Ignition Ballast Resistor P/N:RU-12

Keep the current flowing to your ignition coil in check with the Standard Ignition Ballast Resistor RU-12 (also written RU12). Wired in series with the ignition coil, a ballast resistor limits the voltage and current the coil sees while the engine runs, helping protect the coil and points from excess heat; during cranking it is typically bypassed so the coil gets full battery voltage for starting. It's a direct-fit replacement for a long list of classic Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth applications, including the 1975-1980 Chrysler Cordoba, 1972-1980 Chrysler New Yorker, 1976-1980 Dodge Aspen, 1988-1994 Dodge Dakota and 1976-1980 Plymouth Volare.
