Standard Ignition Distributor Cap P/N:AL-141
Help deliver high-voltage spark to every cylinder with the Standard Ignition Distributor Cap AL-96. It is a direct-fit replacement for a long list of classic applications, including the 1937 DeSoto S-3, 1940-1942 Chrysler Windsor, 1946-1948 Chrysler Town & Country, 1950-1952 Dodge Power Wagon, 1955-1958 Checker A8 and 1957-1959 Jeep FC150. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list of applications and engine details.
The distributor cap covers the distributor and carries ignition voltage from the coil, through the spinning rotor, to the outer terminals that feed each spark plug wire.
Signs a distributor cap may need replacing: cracks in the cap, carbon tracks, burned or corroded terminals, misfires, hard starting or rough running. Other ignition components can cause these same symptoms, so diagnose the system before replacing parts. If a worn cap is the cause, the AL-96 replaces it.

What does a distributor cap do?
It covers the distributor and carries high voltage from the ignition coil, through the rotor, to the terminals that feed each spark plug wire.
Which vehicles does the Standard Ignition AL-96 fit?
It is listed for classic applications such as the 1937 DeSoto S-3, 1946-1948 Chrysler Town & Country, 1950-1952 Dodge Power Wagon and 1957-1959 Jeep FC150. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list.
What is the AL-96 distributor cap made of?
Standard Ignition states its distributor caps are made of high dielectric strength, glass/mineral reinforced polyester resin for less carbon tracking and greater resistance to electrical breakdown.
What are signs of a failing distributor cap?
Cracks, carbon tracking, burned or corroded terminals, misfires, hard starting or rough running may mean the cap needs replacing. Diagnose the ignition system first, since other parts can cause these symptoms.
