The control arm links the wheel's steering knuckle to the chassis and pivots as the suspension moves. The ball joint provides the pivot that lets the knuckle steer and travel. Clunking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, or uneven tire wear may be signs that a worn arm or ball joint needs replacing, so inspect the suspension before ordering. This listing is for the front right upper arm only, and it is worth checking the left-side arm at the same time. A wheel alignment is recommended after installation.
